Bonjour mes chéris! Picture this: you and your beloved, along with another delightful couple, embarking on a luxurious spring adventure to Cusco, Peru. The air is crisp, the sun is warm, and the ancient city awaits. We'll be experiencing the magic of Cusco in the most comfortable and enriching way possible.
Spring in Cusco (September to November) offers pleasant temperatures, perfect for exploring. Expect daytime highs around 18-20°C (64-68°F), with cooler evenings. Pack layers! You'll want to be prepared for both sunshine and a little mountain chill.
Our journey begins with a private transfer from Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) to your luxurious hotel in the heart of Cusco. We'll be staying at a handpicked hotel known for its impeccable service and stunning views – expect to budget around $250-$400 per night per couple for this level of accommodation.
Naturally, we'll explore the iconic sites! Entrance fees vary, but expect to pay approximately $70 per person for the combined Boleto Turistico (tourist ticket) granting access to multiple archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. You’ll be captivated by the intricate stonework and breathtaking views.
Let's talk food! Cusco boasts a vibrant culinary scene. We’ll indulge in exquisite Peruvian cuisine, including cuy (guinea pig – a local delicacy!), lomo saltado (stir-fried beef), and chicha morada (a sweet, non-alcoholic drink made from purple corn). Plan for approximately $50-$75 per person per day for food and beverages.
Beyond the ancient sites, we'll immerse ourselves in the local culture. We’ll wander through the colorful San Blas artisan neighborhood, where you can find unique handcrafted souvenirs. The vibrant energy of the city, the sounds of traditional Andean music, and the friendly smiles of the locals will steal your heart.
We'll also arrange for a private cooking class, learning to prepare traditional Peruvian dishes. Budget about $100 per couple for this immersive experience. We might even take a private tour of a local market, exploring the vibrant colors and aromas of exotic fruits, vegetables, and spices.
And of course, transportation! We'll be traveling in style, with a private driver at your disposal throughout your stay. Factor in around $100 per day for private transport.
Finally, let's talk about the overall cost. For a 5-day/4-night luxurious trip to Cusco for two couples, including accommodation, entrance fees, food, activities, and private transport, you should budget approximately $6,000 - $8,000 in total. This is a flexible estimate, and the final cost can be adjusted to your preferences. But remember, this is a journey to create unforgettable memories!
Important Note: This is an estimate. Prices can fluctuate depending on the season, availability, and your chosen level of luxury. It’s always advisable to confirm pricing directly with hotels and service providers.
